Dr. Matthew Rutman
Dr. Matthew Rutman was born in Brooklyn, New York and graduated cum laude from Binghamton University with a degree in biology. After completing medical school at New York College of Osteopathic MEdicine, he completed his residency in emergency medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he was named chief resident receiving honors in teaching and patient care.
Dr. Rutman is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine. In addition to his work at Rutman Medical, PLLC performing trigger point injections, Dr. Rutman has been practicing emergency medicine as an attending physician for the past 15 years at St Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York and several other institutions.
Currently residing in Miller Place, New York, Dr. Rutman is a dedicated father of 6 and an active member of the community where he coaches the St. Anthony’s travel basketball team. He enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf and fishing.
Pain management has been a continuing interest for Dr. Rutman and an integral part of his practice. He continues to maintain a holistic approach to patient care.
Tom Heinisch, MPAS, PA-C
Tom has 7 years of experience in emergency medicine and orthopedic surgery with a concentration in sports medicine. He also has taught pathophysiology to PA students at Touro College for over 4 years. He continues to be extremely well-rounded in regards to his medical knowledge and experiences which allows for a more accurate diagnosis, specialized treatment, and better prognosis.
Tom, Chief Physician Associate, strives to find a way to keep patients off chronic opiate treatments or go through extensive surgical procedures by using Sarapin and other holistic measures to keep patients living their daily lives pain-free without the need for oral medications. Tom is a dedicated practitioner that wants and will continue to make a real difference in his patient’s lives.
Matthew Delph, MPAS, PA-C
Matt Delph was born and raised in Suffolk County where he grew up playing high level soccer and unfortunately got hurt multiple times along the way (including both wrists and breaking his right hip TWICE). Matt saw the diligent care and compassion he received during his recovery journey from a myriad of medical professions which is when he became attracted to the PA profession. Matt finally fully recovered from his injuries and won two state championships in high school soccer and went on to play at the Division 1 level at Adelphi University. Matt played four years of soccer at Adelphi while also graduating Magna Cum Laude in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology.
Matt took a year off from school and became an EMT-B while working in a physical therapy office simultaneously. He was accepted to Touro College – Bay Shore Campus for their 24 month Physician Assistant Program. He graduated as the Valedictorian of his class while also earning the Directors Award. Matt now works as an Emergency Medicine and House Medicine PA at St Charles Hospital as well as other neighboring institutions.
In his free time Matt enjoys playing soccer, web design, finance, as well as spending time with friends and family. Pain management was always an interest of Matt’s and was fortunate to work and learn alongside Dr. Rutman!
Gregory Toomey, AGACNP-BC
Erin McLaughlin PA-C
Erin McLaughlin is a board certified Physician Assistant currently practicing throughout Suffolk County, NY. She began her
education at Siena College receiving a bachelor’s degree in libral arts. During that time Erin participated on the women’s lacrosse team, alongside
her triplet brothers who played on the men’s team. Throughout her high school and collegiate career Erin suffered multiple broken bones, sprains, and strains
(perhaps some injuries were the result of trying to keep up with her brothers).
These injuries had Erin drawn to the medical field at a young age. Erin found herself spending her free time volunteering at Albany Med in the Emergency Department.
It was then she was introduced to the PA profession and led to furthering her education. Erin later completed a Bachelors in Science and Masters in
Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College. Erin has spent the majority of her ten year career in Emergency Medicine moving within the outpatient setting
of Urgent Care and Pain Management after the birth of her children, Teagan and Thomas.
